A man bit another man's hand, and when the bitten man pulled his hand from the biter's mouth, the biter's two front teeth fell out. They brought their dispute to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "One of you bites his brother as a stallion bites? There is no blood-money for him."In another wording, the case was brought before the Prophet ﷺ and he dismissed the claim, saying, "Did you intend to eat his flesh?"
أن رجلا عض يد رجل فنزع يده من فمه فوقعت ثنيتاه، فاختصموا إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: بعض أحدكم أخاه كما يعض الفحل، لا دية له. وفي لفظ: فرفع إلى النبي ﷺ فأبطله، وقال: أردت أن تأكل لحمه؟
Bukhari narrated it in the Diyat chapter (6892), and Muslim narrated it in the Qasama chapter (18:1673), both of them through the route of Shuba, who said, Qatada narrated to us, saying, I heard Zurara bin Awfa, from Imran bin Husayn, who said, and then he mentioned it. As for the second wording, Muslim narrated it through another route from Qatada, with the same content.
