Abu Hurairah reported,

A man was killed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the matter was brought before the Prophet ﷺ. He handed the killer over to the guardian of the slain man.The killer said, "Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I did not intend to kill him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the guardian, "If he is telling the truth and you kill him, you will enter the Fire."So the guardian let him go. He had been bound with a leather rope, and he went out dragging his rope behind him, so he was named Dhu an-Nisah, the man of the rope.
