Were it not for a statement I heard from Amr bin Hamiq al-Khuzai, I would have walked between the head and the body of al-Mukhtar. I heard him say, "Whoever grants a man safety regarding his life, then kills him, will carry the banner of treachery on the Day of Resurrection."
