The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him, and has not stained himself with forbidden blood, will enter Paradise."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من لقي الله لا يشرك به شيئا، لم يتند بدم حرام دخل الجنة.
Ibn Majah (2618) and Ahmad (17381) narrated it, and Hakim (4/351-352) graded it sahih. All of them transmitted it through the route of Waki, from Ismail bin Abu Khalid, from Abdul-Rahman bin Aaidh, from Uqba bin Amir, who mentioned it.Hakim said, it has also been said, from Ismail, from Qays bin Abu Hazim, from Jareer. He then traced it with his own chain from the hadith of Hasan bin Sufyan, who said, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr narrated to us, who said, Qasim bin Walid Hamdani narrated to us, who said, Ismail bin Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Qays bin Abu Hazim, from Jareer bin Abdullah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever dies without associating any partner with Allah, and without having stained himself with forbidden blood, will enter through whichever of the gates of Paradise he wishes."Dhahabi said, the first chain of transmission is more sahih.Busiri said, "This chain of transmission is sahih, provided that Abdul-Rahman bin Aaidh heard directly from Uqba bin Amir, though it has been said that his narration from him is mursal."He thus expressed doubt, even though Abdul-Rahman bin Aaidh was from Hims, and Uqba bin Amir lived in Syria and died there in the year 58 AH, so their meeting was possible. The mention of an intermediary in some of the hadiths between them does not preclude their having met. Moreover, he was not known to practice tadlis, so his use of "an" (from) is taken to indicate direct transmission, according to the view of the majority.
