The Prophet ﷺ said, "It is disbelief for a person to claim a lineage that is not his, or to deny his true lineage, however slight it may be."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: كفر بامرئ ادعاء نسب لا يعرفه، أو جحده وإن دق.
Ibn Majah (2744) narrated it from Muhammad bin Yahya, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah told us, who said, Sulayman bin Bilal told us, from Yahya bin Saeed, from Amr bin Shuayb, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for he is hasan al-hadith.Ahmad (7019) also reported it from Ali bin Asim, from Muthanna bin Sabbah, from Amr bin Shuayb, and he mentioned it. Its chain is daif, since Ali bin Asim and his teacher Muthanna bin Sabbah have been criticized by more than one scholar, though both have corroborating narrations.
