Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
The Quran was sent down in its entirety from the Preserved Tablet on the twenty-fourth night of Ramadan and placed in the House of Glory.

Zia-ur-Rahman Azami
Narrated by Nasai in Kubra (7991), Tabarani in Kabir (12381), Hakim (2/223), and Ibn Jareer Tabari in his Tafsir (3/189), through routes from Amash, from Hassan bin Abu Ashras, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas.Hakim said, "Sahih in isnad." Dhahabi agreed with him.In one version, "So Jibreel began descending upon the Prophet, reciting it to him gradually, in stages." And in another version there is an addition, in response to the speech and deeds of the servants.
