I said to Ibn Umar, "What about a man who accuses his wife of adultery?"He replied, "The Prophet ﷺ separated the two siblings of Banu Ajlan. He said, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' They both refused. He said again, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' They both refused. He said a third time, 'Allah knows that one of you is lying. Will either of you repent?' They both refused, so he separated them."Ayub said, Umar bin Dinar said to me, "There is something in the hadith that I do not see you narrating."He said, the man asked, "What about my wealth?"It was said to him, "You have no claim to your wealth. If you were truthful, it became hers when you consummated the marriage with her, and if you were lying, then it is even further from you."
