I asked Anas bin Malik, thinking he had knowledge about it. He said that Hilal bin Umaya accused his wife of adultery with Sharik bin Sahma, who was the maternal brother of Bara bin Malik, and he was the first man to perform lian in Islam.He said, So he performed lian against her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Watch her closely. If she gives birth to a child who is fair-skinned, with straight hair and weak eyes, then he belongs to Hilal bin Umaya. But if she gives birth to a child who is dark-eyed, with curly hair and slender legs, then he belongs to Sharik bin Sahma."He said, I was informed that she gave birth to a child who was dark-eyed, with curly hair and slender legs.
سألت أنس بن مالك، وأنا أرى أن عنده فيه علما. فقال: إن هلال بن أمية قذف امرأته بشريك بن سحماء، وكان أخا البراء بن مالك لأمه، وكان أول رجل لاعن في الإسلام. قال: فلاعنها. فقال رسول الله ﷺ: أبصروها، فإن جاءت به أبيض سبطا قضيئ العينين فهو لهلال بن أمية، وإن جاءت به أكحل جعدا حمس الساقين فهو لشريك بن سحماء. قال: فأنبئت أنها جاءت به أكحل جعدا حمس الساقين.
