Ayesha reported,
The first surah revealed was "Recite in the name of your Lord who created" [Alaq 96:1].

Hakim narrated it (2/220) from Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Ishaq the jurist, who said, Bishr bin Musa informed us, who said, Humaydi related to us, who said, Sufyan related to us, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from Zuhri, from Urwa, from Ayesha, and she mentioned the hadith.Hakim said, "It is sahih according to the standard of Muslim." Dhahabi agreed with him. Muhammad bin Ishaq is a mudallis and he narrated using "an," and this serves as a corroborating witness for what preceded.
