The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is not one of you except that a companion from among the jinn has been assigned to him."They asked, "Even you, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Even me, except that Allah has helped me against him and he has submitted, so he commands me only with good."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ما منكم من أحد إلا وقد وكل به قرينه من الجن. قالوا: وإياك يا رسول الله قال: وإياي إلا أن الله أعانني عليه فأسلم فلا يأمرني إلا بخير.
Muslim reported it in the chapter on the description of the Resurrection (2814) through several routes from Jareer, from Mansur, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from his father, from Abdullah bin Masud, who related it.His saying "aslam" is from Islam, not from safety, and this is how the majority of scholars have explained this hadith, except for Sufyan bin Uyayna, who explained it by saying, "aslam", meaning "I find safety from him." That is, the Prophet ﷺ is safe from Satan running through him the way blood runs, and no one else shares this quality with him.
