The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is a kind of jealousy that Allah loves and a kind that Allah dislikes. The jealousy that Allah loves is jealousy aroused by genuine cause for suspicion, and the jealousy He dislikes is jealousy without any cause for suspicion."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من الغيرة ما يحب الله، ومنها ما يكره الله، فأما ما يحب الله فالغيرة في الريبة، وأما ما يكره فالغيرة في غير ريبة.
Ibn Majah (1996) narrated it from Muhammad bin Ismail, who said, "Waki narrated to us, from Shayban Abu Muawiya, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Abu Salama - Abu Salama - from Abu Hurairah," who said, then he mentioned it. Its isnad is sahih."Abu Sahm" or "Abu Shahm" is a mistake, and the correct name is Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, as Mizzi stated in Tahzib Kamal. Its isnad is hasan, because of Muhammad bin Ismail, who is al-Bukhtari, a "trustworthy" narrator.
