Ayesha reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left her one night. She said, "I became jealous over him. When he returned and saw what I was doing, he asked, 'What is the matter with you, Ayesha? Are you jealous?'"She replied, "Why should someone like me not be jealous over someone like you?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Has your devil come to you?"She asked, "Messenger of Allah, is there a devil with me?"He said, "Yes."She asked, "And with every person?"He said, "Yes."She asked, "And with you too, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "Yes, but my Lord has helped me against him so that he submitted."
