Jabir bin Abdullah reported,
We went on a military expedition with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ against a people from Juhaynah, and they fought us fiercely. When we prayed Dhuhr, the polytheists said, "If we had launched a single charge against them, we could have cut them off." Then Jibreel informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of this. He then mentioned the rest of the hadith.

غزونا مع رسول الله ﷺ قوما من جهينة، فقاتلونا قتالا شديدا. فلما صلينا الظهر قال المشركون: لو ملنا عليهم ميلة لاقتطعناهم. فأخبر جبريل رسول الله ﷺ ذلك. فذكر الحديث.
