When one of us was menstruating and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wished to be intimate with her, he would order her to wrap a cloth around herself during the height of her menstruation, and then he would be intimate with her.She said, "And which of you can control his desire the way the Messenger of Allah ﷺ could control his desire?"
كانت إحدانا إذا كانت حائضا، فأراد رسول الله ﷺ أن يباشرها أمرها أن تتزر في فور حيضتها، ثم يباشرها. قالت: وأيكم يملك إربه كما كان رسول الله ﷺ يملك إربه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Menstruation (302) and Muslim in the Book of Menstruation (293), both through the route of Ali bin Mushir, who said, Abu Ishaq Shaybani informed us, from Abdul-Rahman bin Aswad, from his father, from Ayesha, and he related it.
