The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man should not lie skin to skin with another man, nor a woman with another woman."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا يباشر الرجل الرجل، ولا المرأة المرأة.
Imam Ahmad (2773), Tabarani in Kabir (11728), Bazzar in Kashf Astar (2074), and Ibn Hibban (5582) all narrated it from the hadith of Israel, from Simak bin Harb, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.Simak bin Harb was inconsistent in his hadith from Ikrima, but it has been established that he was not inconsistent in this particular hadith, because Abu Ishaq Shaybani corroborated him, narrating it from Ikrima, from Abdullah bin Abbas, in similar fashion. Tabarani narrated it through this route in Kabir (11794) and Saghir (1094), as did Hakim (4/288), who said, "It is sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari, for they have agreed on the soundness of this hadith."
