The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The most complete of the believers in faith are those who are best in character, and the best of you are those who are best to their women."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أكمل المؤمنين إيمانا أحسنهم خلقا، خياركم خياركم لنسائهم.
Tirmidhi (1162) and Abu Dawud (4682) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (4176) and Hakim (3/1) graded it sahih, all of them through the route of Muhammad bin Amr, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith, the wording being that of Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban. As for Abu Dawud and Hakim, they confined themselves to the first part. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih. Hakim said, sahih according to the criterion of Muslim. Its isnad is only hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqama Laythi, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is hasan.
