The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Abdullah, was I not informed that you fast all day and stand in prayer all night?"I said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "Do not do that. Fast and break your fast, pray and sleep, for your body has a right over you, your eye has a right over you, and your spouse has a right over you."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Marriage (5199), by way of Uzai, who said, Yahya bin Abu Kathir told me, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman told me, he said, Abdullah bin Amr bin As told me, and he mentioned it. Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Fasting (1159), by way of Abu Salama and others, from Abdullah bin Amr, and it has already been mentioned in the Book of Fasting.
