Narrated by Abu Dawud (2148), Tirmidhi (2777), Hakim (2/194), Bayhaqi (7/90), Ahmad (22974), and Tahawi in his Mushkil (1866), all of them from the hadith of Sharik, from Abu Rabia, from Ibn Burayda, from his father, and he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith, we do not know it except from the hadith of Sharik." Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the criterion of Muslim."I say, in it is Sharik, who is Ibn Abdullah Nakhai, of poor memory, and his teacher Abu Rabia Iyadi, whose name is Umar bin Rabia, about whom Abu Hatim said, "Munkar al-hadith." But Ibn Main said, "A Kufan, trustworthy." See Jarh wat-Tadil (3/109). The conclusion regarding him is that he is munkar al-hadith when he narrates alone, but he did not narrate this one alone, for Imam Ahmad (23021) narrated it from Ahmad bin Abdul-Malik, who said, Sharik narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq and Abu Rabia Iyadi, with his chain, similarly.However, its defect is Sharik, who is of poor memory as I said, and that is why Tirmidhi said, "We do not know it except from the hadith of Sharik." But there is supporting evidence indicating that he did not err in this hadith.
