A man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he asked, "What do you say about this man?"They replied, "He is worthy, if he proposes marriage, to be given in marriage, if he intercedes, to have his intercession accepted, and if he speaks, to be listened to."Then he was silent. A man from among the poor Muslims passed by, and he asked, "What do you say about this one?"They replied, "He is likely, if he proposes marriage, not to be given in marriage, if he intercedes, not to have his intercession accepted, and if he speaks, not to be listened to."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man is better than the earth filled with men like the other."
مر رجل على رسول الله ﷺ فقال: ما تقولون في هذا؟ قالوا: حري إن خطب أن ينكح وإن شفع أن يشفع وإن قال أن يستمع قال: ثم سكت. فمر رجل من فقراء المسلمين، فقال: ما تقولون في هذا؟ قالوا: حري إن خطب أن لا ينكح، وإن شفع أن لا يشفع، وإن قال أن لا يستمع. فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هذا خير من ملء الأرض مثل هذا.
