The Prophet ﷺ came out to some young men of Quraysh and said, "Young men, whoever among you can afford it should marry. Whoever cannot should fast, for fasting will be a shield for him."
أن النبي ﷺ خرج على فتية من شباب قريش، فقال: يا معشر الشباب من استطاع منكم الطول فلينكح، أو فليتزوج، وإلا فعليه بالصوم، فإنه له وجاء.
Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (1398) from Muhammad bin Layth, who said, Ali bin Abdul-Hameed narrated to us, who said, Sulayman bin Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, and he related it.Bazzar said, "We do not know of anyone who narrated it from Thabit except Sulayman."I say, it does not cause harm that Sulayman bin Mughira, who is Qaysi, their freedman, narrated it alone, for he is trustworthy.
