The Prophet ﷺ said, "Any Muslim man who frees a Muslim man, that freed man will be his ransom from the Fire, with each limb of the freed man redeeming a corresponding limb of his own. Any Muslim man who frees two Muslim women, those two will be his ransom from the Fire, with each limb of theirs redeeming a corresponding limb of his. And any Muslim woman who frees a Muslim woman, the freed woman will be her ransom from the Fire, with each limb of hers redeeming a corresponding limb of her own."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: أيما امرئ مسلم أعتق امرأ مسلما كان فكاكه من النار، يجزي كل عضو منه عضوا منه. وأيما امرئ مسلم أعتق امرأتين مسلمتين كانتا فكاكه من النار، يجزي كل عضو منهما عضوا منه. وأيما امرأة مسلمة أعتقت امرأة مسلمة كانت فكاكها من النار، يجزي كل عضو منها عضوا منها.
Tirmidhi (1547) narrated it from Muhammad bin Abdul-Ala, who said, Imran bin Uyayna, the brother of Sufyan bin Uyayna, told us, from Husayn, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Abu Umama, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Imran bin Uyayna, for his hadith is hasan. And Salim bin Abu Jaad did meet Abu Umama, as Abu Hatim said.
