Regarding "And for everyone We have appointed heirs" [Nisa 4:33], he explained that this means inheritors. As for "and those with whom you have made a pact", when the Emigrants first came to Madinah, an Emigrant would inherit from an Ansari to the exclusion of the Ansari's own blood relatives, because of the brotherhood the Prophet ﷺ had established between them. Then when "And for everyone We have appointed heirs" was revealed, that practice was abrogated. He then said, "and those with whom you have made a pact" refers to support, assistance, and sincere counsel. The inheritance no longer applies, though a bequest may be made in his favor.
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir chapter (4580) from Salit bin Muhammad, who said, "Abu Usama narrated to us, from Idris, from Talha bin Musarrif, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas," and he related it.Bukhari said, "Abu Usama heard from Idris, and Idris heard from Talha."I say, he also narrated it in this way in the chapter on inheritance shares (6747), from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who said, "I said to Abu Usama, 'Did Idris narrate this to you?'" He said, "Talha narrated to us, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said," "And for everyone We have made heirs" "and those with whom your oaths have bound" [Nisa 4:33].He said, "When the migrants came to Madinah, the Ansari would inherit from the migrant rather than his own blood relatives, because of the brotherhood that the Prophet ﷺ had established between them. Then when "And for everyone We have made heirs" was revealed," he said, "it was abrogated by "and those with whom your oaths have bound.""So His saying, "and those with whom your oaths have bound," means those with whom you have entered into pacts through solemn oaths, both you and they, so give them their share of the inheritance, just as you promised them in those solemn oaths. This was the case at the beginning of Islam, and it was later abrogated.
