The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a stray sheep. He said, "It is yours, or your brother's, or the wolf's."He was asked about a stray camel. He said, "What business do you have with it? It has its water supply and its hooves with it. Leave it until its owner finds it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ، وسئل عن ضالة الغنم، فقال: هي لك، أو لأخيك، أو للذئب. وسئل عن ضالة الإبل، فقال: مالك ولها؟ ومعها سقاؤها، أو سقاؤه وحذاؤه، دعه حتى يجد ربه.

Bazzar narrated it - Kashf Astar (1364) - from Muhammad bin Miskin, who said, Saeed bin Abu Maryam narrated to us, who said, Yahya bin Ayub narrated to us, from Ibn Ajlan, from Qaqa bin Hakeem, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.Bazzar said, "We do not know it from Qaqa, from Abu Salih, except through the hadith of Yahya."Haythami said in Majma (4/167), "Bazzar and Tabarani in Awsat narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."I say, it is as he said, except that Yahya bin Ayub, who is Ghafiqi, although he is among the narrators of the Sahih, does not rise to the rank of being reliable, but his hadith is hasan.
