Narrated by Bukhari in "Sales" (2222) and Muslim in "Faith" (155), both from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Layth narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Ibn Musayab, that he heard Abu Hurairah say, and then he mentioned it.A note of benefit, Bukhari titled this chapter, "Chapter on killing the pig." Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari (4/414), "The reason for its inclusion among the chapters on sales is to indicate that whatever one is commanded to kill may not be sold."As for Isa killing the pig, its meaning is that its meat was not made lawful to eat because of its impurity. What is due to it is that it be killed and cast aside, not that it be slaughtered and eaten. Rather, the one who made its meat lawful to eat was Paul the monk, the founder of Christianity, who altered the religion of the Messiah, as I have explained in detail in my book, "Judaism, Christianity, and the Religions of Hind."As for his saying, "and abolishes the jizya," this means that he will accept nothing but Islam.
