The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The price of a dog is not lawful, nor the fee of a fortune-teller, nor the earnings of a prostitute."
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يحل ثمن الكلب، ولا حلوان الكاهن، ولا مهر البغي.
Abu Dawud (3484), Nasai (4293), and Bayhaqi (6/6) all narrated it from the hadith of Ibn Wahb, who said, Maruf bin Suwayd Judhami informed us that Ali bin Rabah Lakhmi told him that he heard Abu Hurairah say what he then mentioned. Hakim graded it sahih (2/33) according to the criterion of Muslim, except that he narrated it through another route from Abu Hurairah.
