The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade muzabanah and muhaqalah. Muzabanah is the sale of fresh dates still on the palm trees in exchange for dried dates. Muhaqalah is Kira Ard in exchange for wheat.
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهي عن المزابنة والمحاقلة والمزابنة اشتراء الثمر بالتمر في رؤوس النخل. والمحاقلة كراء الأرض بالحنطة.
Malik narrated it in Buyu (24) from Dawud bin Husayn, from Abu Sufyan, the freedman of Ibn Abu Ahmad, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who related it.Bukhari narrated it in Buyu (2186), and Muslim in Buyu (1546), both through the route of Malik, in the same manner. Except that Bukhari did not mention the tafsir of muhaqalah, while Muslim explained it as leasing land, and he did not say "for wheat."
