An Arabi came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Guide me to a deed that, if I do it, will admit me to Paradise."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Worship Allah without associating anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayer, pay the obligatory zakat, and fast during Ramadan."The man said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, I will not add anything to this."When he turned to leave, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to look at a man from the people of Paradise, let him look at this one."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1397), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (14), both from the hadith of Affan bin Muslim, who said, Wahib narrated to us, from Yahya bin Saeed bin Hayan, from Abu Zura, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned the hadith, their wording being identical.
