The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no land that the Dajjal will not trample upon except Makkah and Madinah. There is not a single mountain pass leading into Madinah without angels standing in rows guarding it. Then Madinah will tremble with its inhabitants three times, and Allah will expel from it every disbeliever and hypocrite."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ليس من بلد إلاسيطوه الدجال إلا مكة والمدينة، ليس له من نقابها نقب إلا عليه الملائكة صافين يحرسونها، ثم ترجف المدينة بأهلها ثلاث رجفات، فيخرج الله كل كافر ومنافق.
Bukhari narrated it in the Virtues of Madinah (1881), and Muslim in Fitan (2943), both from the hadith of Walid bin Muslim, who said, Abu Amr, meaning Uzai, narrated to me, he said, Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Abu Talha narrated to us, he said, Anas bin Malik narrated to me, and then he related the hadith. The wording given here is Bukhari's.In Muslim's wording, "Dajjal will then settle at the salt marsh, and Madinah will tremble..." In another version of his, "He will come to the salt marsh of Juruf and pitch his tent there. He said, then every hypocrite man and hypocrite woman will go out to him."And in Bukhari (7134, 7473), from another route through Anas, "Dajjal will come to Madinah and find the angels guarding it, so Dajjal will not be able to approach it." He said, "nor will the plague, Allah willing."
