The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has angels who travel about the roads seeking out those who remember Him. When they find a group of people remembering Allah, they call out to one another, 'Come to what you have been seeking!' Then they enfold them with their wings up to the lowest heaven.Their Lord asks them, though He knows better than they do, 'What are My servants saying?'They reply, 'They are glorifying You, magnifying You, praising You, and exalting You.'He asks, 'Have they seen Me?'They answer, 'No, by Allah, they have not seen You.'He says, 'And how would it be if they had seen Me?'They reply, 'If they had seen You, they would have worshipped You more intensely, exalted You more greatly, and glorified You more abundantly.'He says, 'What are they asking Me for?'They say, 'They are asking You for Paradise.'He says, 'And have they seen it?'They reply, 'No, by Allah, my Lord, they have not seen it.'He says, 'And how would it be if they had seen it?'They reply, 'If they had seen it, they would have been more eager for it, more earnest in seeking it, and greater in their longing for it.'He says, 'And from what are they seeking refuge?'They say, 'From the Fire.'He says, 'And have they seen it?'They reply, 'No, by Allah, my Lord, they have not seen it.'He says, 'And how would it be if they had seen it?'They reply, 'If they had seen it, they would have fled from it more swiftly and feared it more deeply.'He says, 'I call you to witness that I have forgiven them.'One of the angels says, 'Among them is so-and-so, who is not really one of them. He only came for some need of his own.'He says, 'They are companions whose companion is never wretched.'"
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Supplications (6408) from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Jareer narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith. Bukhari said, "Shuba narrated it from Amash without raising it to the Prophet. And Suhayl narrated it from his father, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophetﷺ." End of quote.I say, from the route of Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, Muslim narrated it in the Book of Remembrance and Supplication (2689) from Muhammad bin Hatim bin Maymun, who said, Bahz narrated to us, who said, Wahib narrated to us, who said, Suhayl narrated to us, with the same chain, and in it, "Allah has traveling angels, in addition [to others]." The rest of the hadith is similar.
