I said to Abdullah bin Abu Awfa, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Did the Prophet ﷺ enter the Kaaba during his Umrah?"He replied, "No."
قلت لعبد الله بن أبي أو فى صاحب رسول الله ﷺ: أدخل النبي ﷺ في عمرته؟ قال: لا.
Muslim narrated it in Hajj (1332) from Surayj bin Yunus, who said, Hushaym narrated to me, Ismail bin Abu Khalid informed us, and he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in Hajj (1600) through another route from Ismail bin Abu Khalid, but he did not mention "Umrah" in it. That was during the Umrah of Qada, as indicated by Bukhari's narration (4188), where he said, "We used to shield him from the people of Makkah so that no one would harm him." In another narration of his (4255), "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Umrah, we shielded him from the young men of the polytheists and from them, so that they would not harm the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
