Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaabah along with Usama, Bilal, and Uthman bin Talha al-Hajabi. He closed the door behind them and remained inside for a while.Ibn Umar said, "When Bilal came out, I asked him, 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do inside?'"Bilal replied, "He placed two pillars on his left, one pillar on his right, and three pillars behind him. The House at that time stood on six pillars. Then he prayed."
Malik narrated it in the Hajj (206), and from his route Bukhari in the Prayer (505), and Muslim in the Hajj (1329), from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, as mentioned. This took place in the year of the Conquest, as is explicitly stated in other narrations from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, in Bukhari (4289, 4400), and Muslim (389, 390).
