The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "This is a sacred day, in a sacred land. Your blood, your property, and your honor are inviolable to one another, just like the sanctity of this day and this land, until the day you meet Him. Even a shove that one Muslim gives to another, intending him harm, is forbidden.Shall I tell you who the Muslim is? The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe. The believer is the one whom people trust with their wealth and their lives. The emigrant is the one who abandons sins and wrongdoings. And the Mujahid is the one who struggles against his own soul in obedience to Allah."
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال في حجة الوداع: هذا يوم حرام، وبلد حرام، فدماؤكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم عليكم حرام مثل هذا اليوم، وهذه البلدة إلى يوم تلقونه، وحتى دفعة دفعها مسلم مسلما يريد بها سوءا حراما، وسأخبركم من المسلم؟ من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده، والمؤمن من أمنه الناس على أموالهم وأنفسهم، والمهاجر من هجر الخطايا والذنوب، والمجاهد من جاهد نفسه في طاعة الله.
Bazzar narrated it in his Musnad (3752), Ahmad (23958), and Tabarani (12/309), all from the hadith of Abu Hani Khawlani, from Amr bin Malik Janabi, who said, "Fadala bin Ubayd narrated to me," and he related it. The wording given is that of Bazzar.Ibn Majah narrated it (3934), as did Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (4862), and Hakim (1/10, 11), all through this same route, in an abridged form.Abu Hani's name is Humayd bin Hani.
