The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among the people during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said, "There will be no prophet after me, and no nation after you. So worship your Lord, perform your five daily prayers, fast your month, obey those in authority over you, and you will enter the Paradise of your Lord."
Tabarani narrated it in Kabir (22/316), and Abu Naeem in Marifat Sahabah (2994/6), both from the hadith of Baqiya bin Walid, from Buhayr bin Saad, from Khalid bin Madan, from Abu Qatila, and he mentioned it.Abu Naeem said, Abu Qatila is disputed regarding his companionship. Mutayyan and Sulayman mentioned him among the Companions. His name was Marthad bin Wadaa al-Himsi. Bukhari said, "He has companionship," in Tarikh al-Kabir (415/7), and Abu Hatim objected to Bukhari's statement that he has companionship.Ibn Hajar said in Isabah (7915), "Bukhari's argument is clear. Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the Companions, then mentioned him again among the Followers."The isnad of the hadith is hasan on account of Baqiya bin Walid. Although he was known to conceal the source of his narrations and did not state here that he heard it directly, Ibn Abdul-Hadi said, "When Baqiya narrates from Buhayr bin Saad, his indirect narrations are accepted without exception." And this is one such case.
