The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, on the day before the Day of Tarwiyah, would deliver a sermon to the people and instruct them in the rites of their pilgrimage.
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا كان قبل يوم التروية بيوم خطب الناس، وأخبرهم بمناسكهم.
Ibn Khuzayma (2793) narrated it from Ahmad bin Abu Siraj Razi, that Amr bin Mujammi informed them, from Musa bin Uqba, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who said, then he mentioned it.Amr bin Mujammi is daif, Daraqutni and others declared him daif, and Ibn Adi said, "Most of what he narrates is not corroborated."I say, here he was corroborated by Abu Qurra Musa bin Tariq Zubaydi Yamani, from Musa bin Uqba. Hakim reported it (1/461), and Bayhaqi (5/111) reported it from him through his route. Hakim said, "sahih in isnad." Dhahabi said, "Abu Qurra Zubaydi narrated it alone, from Musa."I say, he was not alone in narrating it, as you have seen, and moreover he is reliable, so his being alone would not have harmed it anyway.
