The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then returned and prayed Zuhr at Mina.Nafi said, Ibn Umar used to perform the ifadah on the Day of Sacrifice, then return and pray Zuhr at Mina, and he would mention that the Prophet ﷺ had done so.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on Hajj (1308), from Muhammad bin Rafi, who said, Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, who said, Ubaydullah bin Umar informed us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on Hajj (1732), attributing it only to Ibn Umar himself, saying, Abu Naeem (that is, Fadl bin Dukayn) said to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ubaydullah (that is, Ibn Umar), from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, that he performed a single circumambulation, then rested at midday, then came to Mina, meaning on the day of sacrifice. Then Bukhari said, Abdul-Razzaq attributed it to the Prophet, saying, Ubaydullah (meaning Ibn Umar) informed us.Ibn Hajar said in Fath al-Bari (3/568), "Ibn Khuzayma and Ismaili connected it through the route of Abdul-Razzaq, with the wording of Abu Naeem, adding at the end, 'And it is mentioned, that is, by Ibn Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ did it.'"I say, may Allah have mercy on him, he overlooked attributing it to Muslim as a connected narration, as you see.
