The Prophet ﷺ had an appointment with Jibreel, who then said, "We do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog."
وعد النبي ﷺ جبريل فقال: إنا لا ندخل بيتا فيه صورة ولا كلب.
Bukhari narrated it in "The Beginning of Creation" (3227) from Yahya bin Sulayman, who said, Ibn Wahb told me, who said, Umar told me, from Salim, from his father, and he mentioned the hadith. He repeated it in "Clothing" (5960) with the same chain, except that he said in it, "The Prophet ﷺ had made an appointment with Jibreel, but he delayed coming to him, until it became difficult for the Prophet ﷺ to bear. So the Prophet ﷺ went out and met him, and complained to him about what he had felt, and he said, 'We do not enter a house that has an image or a dog in it.'"Umar is the son of Muhammad bin Zayd bin Abdullah bin Umar bin Khattab, of Madinah.
