She said that the people were uncertain whether the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fasting on the day of Arafah, so she sent him a vessel of milk while he was standing at the place of standing, and he drank from it while the people looked on.
أنها قالت: إن الناس شكوا صيام رسول الله ﷺ يوم عرفة، فأرسلت إليه بحلاب وهو واقف في الموقف، فشرب منه والناس ينظرون.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Fasting (1989), and Muslim in the Book of Fasting (1124), both of them through the route of Ibn Wahb, who said, Amr (that is, Ibn Harith) informed me, from Bukayr (that is, Ibn Abdullah bin Ashaj), from Kurayb, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, from Maymuna, and he mentioned it.
