Azami 5100

Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat - Majma Bahrayn (1759) - and from him Abu Naeem in Al-Hilyah (5/116) - from Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abu Khaythami, who said, Abdullah bin Abdul-Mumin Wasiti told us, Ubayd bin Aqeel told us, from Umar bin Dharr, from Ata bin Abu Rabah, from Ibn Abbas, who said, and then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abdullah bin Abdul-Mumin Wasiti. A large number of scholars transmitted from him, among them trustworthy leading scholars such as Ibn Majah, the author of the Sunan, Aslam bin Bahshal Wasiti, Ali bin Hasan Qatiyi, and others. No one has criticized him, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators. This indicates that he was known and considered reliable among them, and a narrator like this has his hadith graded hasan so long as he does not contradict others or bring something that would be rejected of him. His hadith also has an established basis, and this narration is one of them.Dhahabi mentioned him in Al-Kashif and said, "trustworthy." As for the statement of Hafiz in Al-Taqrib that he is "acceptable," this is not accurate, for he is not less than the level of "hasan al-hadith."
