I said to Ibn Abbas, "I think I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."He said, "Then describe him to me."I said, "I saw him at Marwa on a she-camel, with the people crowding around him."Ibn Abbas said, "That was indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They did not used to push people away from him, nor were they harsh with them."
Muslim narrated it in the Hajj (1265) chapter, from Muhammad bin Rafi, who said, Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, who said, Zuhayr bin Abdul-Malik bin Saeed bin Abjar narrated to us, from Abu Tufayl, and he related it.What can be learned from the hadiths in this chapter is that the Prophet ﷺ combined walking and riding in his sai during the Farewell Pilgrimage. He walked at first, but when the crowd of people pressing upon him grew large, he rode, as is found in the narrations of Muslim.
