The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wiping the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner wipes away sins completely."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: مسح الحجر والركن اليماني يحط الخطايا حط.
Imam Ahmad (5621) and Ibn Hibban (3698) both narrated it from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq, and it is also found in his Musannaf (8877), from Sufyan Thawri, from Ata bin Saaib, from Abdullah bin Ubayd bin Umayr, from his father, from Ibn Umar, and he related it. Its chain is sahih, and Ata bin Saaib is trustworthy, the imams affirmed his reliability, but he became confused in his later years. However, Sufyan Thawri heard from him before this confusion set in.Ibn Khuzayma (2729) also graded it sahih, transmitting it through Hushaym, from Ata, relating the same.Tirmidhi (959) narrated it through Jareer, from Ata bin Saaib with his chain, adding to it, "Whoever circles this House seven times and keeps count of it, it is like freeing a slave." This hadith will be mentioned again later, because it contains Jareer, who is Ibn Abdul-Hameed, and he heard from Ata after his confusion had set in, as will be discussed later.
