The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived and entered Mecca. He went to the Black Stone and touched it, then circled the House. He came to Safa and climbed it until he could see the House. He raised his hands and began to remember Allah as much as He willed him to remember Him, and to supplicate to Him.The Ansar were below him. Hashim said, He supplicated and praised Allah, and made whatever supplication he wished.
Abu Dawud (1872) narrated it from Ahmad bin Hanbal, who said, Bahz bin Assad and Hashim, meaning Ibn Qasim, narrated to us, they said, Sulayman bin Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, from Abdullah bin Rabah, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.This hadith is also found in Musnad Imam Ahmad (10948) through this same chain, in a longer form. Likewise, Muslim narrated it in the chapter on "The Conquest of Makkah" (1780) from Shayban bin Farroukh, who said, Sulayman bin Mughira narrated to us, with his chain, in a longer form similar to Imam Ahmad's version.Abu Dawud also narrated it (1871) from Muslim bin Ibrahim, who said, Sallam bin Miskin narrated to us, Thabit Bunani narrated to us, with his chain, and he added in it, "and he prayed two rakahs behind the Maqam," after his statement, "when he entered Makkah, he performed tawaf around the House."
