The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made his camel kneel at the Batha in Dhul Hulayfah and prayed there.Nafi said, "Abdullah bin Umar used to do the same."
أن رسول الله ﷺ أناخ بالبطحاء التي بذي الحليفة فصلى بها. قال نافع: وكان عبد الله بن عمر يفعل ذلك.
Malik narrated it in Hajj (206) from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, as mentioned. Bukhari narrated it in Hajj (1532), and Muslim in Hajj (1257:430), both through Malik, with the same wording.Bukhari also narrated it (1533) through Ubaydullah, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out by the route of Shajarah and enter by the route of Muarras, and that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whenever he set out for Makkah, would pray at the masjid of Shajarah, and whenever he returned, he would pray at Zulhulayfa in the bottom of the valley, and spend the night there until morning.
