Malik narrated it in Hajj (179) from Yahya bin Saeed (that is, Ansari), who said, Amra bint Abdul-Rahman told me, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Bukhari narrated it in Hajj (1709) from Abdullah bin Yusuf, who said, Malik informed us, with the same chain.He also narrated it (1710), as did Muslim in Hajj (1211:125), both of them through the route of Sulayman bin Bilal, from Yahya bin Saeed, with the same chain, similarly.Bukhari narrated it in Umrah (1783), and Muslim in Hajj (1211:115), both of them through the route of Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, who said, "We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Farewell Hajj, arriving close to the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah," the hadith continues.His statement, "arriving close to the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah," means close to its rising, since the fifth of the month is near its end. The new moon of Dhul-Hijjah came upon them while they were still on the road, for they entered Makkah on the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah, as is mentioned in the coming hadith of Ibn Abbas.
