I used to apply perfume to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for his ihram before he entered the state of consecration, and for his exit from ihram before he performed tawaf around the House.
كنت أطيب رسول الله ﷺ لإحرامه قبل أن يحرم، ولحله قبل أن يطوف بالبيت.
Malik narrated it in Hajj (17), from Abdul-Rahman bin Qasim, from his father, from Ayesha, likewise. Bukhari narrated it in Hajj (1539), and Muslim in Hajj (1189: 33), both of them through the route of Malik, likewise, in the same manner.
