Bukhari narrated it in the Hajj (1520) from Abdul-Rahman bin Mubarak, who said, Khalid narrated to us, he being Ibn Abdullah Wasiti, who said, Habib bin Abu Amra informed us, from Ayesha bint Talha, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.As for what has been narrated from Amr bin Abasa, he said, a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is Islam?" He said, "That your heart submits to Allah , and that the Muslims are safe from your tongue and your hand." He said, "Then which Islam is most excellent?" He said, "Faith." He said, "And what is faith?" He said, "That you believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Bath after death." He said, "Then which faith is most excellent?" He said, "Migration." He said, "And what is migration?" He said, "That you forsake evil." He said, "Then which migration is most excellent?" He said, "Jihad." He said, "And what is jihad?" He said, "That you fight the disbelievers when you meet them." He said, "Then which jihad is most excellent?" He said, "That of one whose horse is hamstrung and whose blood is spilled." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then there are two deeds which are the most excellent of deeds, unless someone performs their equal, an accepted Hajj or an Umrah."This chain contains a disconnection.Ahmad narrated it (17027) from Abdul-Razzaq, and it is in his Musannaf (20107), from Maamar, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Amr bin Abasa, and he mentioned it. But Abu Qilaba never met Amr bin Abasa.Harith bin Abu Usama also narrated it in his Musnad, as in al-Bughya (13), and it contains an unknown narrator.
