The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to eat from the heads of slaughtered animals while he was fasting.
إن رسول الله ﷺ كان يصيب من الرؤوس وهو صائم.

Narrated by Ahmad (2241, 3392) and Abdul-Razzaq (7407), and from his route Bazzar - Kashf Astar (1020), and Tahawi in his "Sharh" (3292), all of them from the hadith of Ayub, from Abdullah bin Shaqiq, from Ibn Abbas, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami said in "Majma" (3/167), after attributing it to Ahmad, Bazzar, and Tabarani, "The men of Ahmad are the men of the Sahih."Bazzar said, the meaning of "he touches the heads" is that he kisses them.
