The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever spends a pair of anything in the path of Allah will be called from the gates of Paradise, 'Servant of Allah, this is good!' So whoever was among the people of prayer will be called from the gate of prayer, whoever was among the people of jihad will be called from the gate of jihad, whoever was among the people of fasting will be called from the gate of Rayyan, and whoever was among the people of charity will be called from the gate of charity."Abu Bakr said, "May my father and mother be your ransom, Messenger of Allah, no harm could come to anyone called from those gates. But will anyone be called from all of them?"He replied, "Yes, and I hope you will be among them."
Malik reported it in Jihad (49), from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd bin Abdul-Rahman bin Awf, from Abu Hurairah, who related it. Bukhari reported it in Sawm (1897) by way of Malik, and Muslim reported it in Zakat (1027) through another route from Ibn Shihab.
