The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah said, 'The son of Adam offends Me by cursing time, for I am time. In My hand is the affair, I alternate the night and the day.'"
قال رسول الله ﷺ: قال الله عز وجل: يؤذيني ابن آدم يسب الدهر وأنا الدهر، بيدي الأمر أقلب الليل والنهار.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tawhid (7491), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Expressions (2246), both from the hadith of Sufyan, from Zuhri, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith, and their wording is the same.Abdul-Razzaq narrated it from Maamar, from Zuhri, with his chain of transmission, and it contains, "Ibn Adam says, 'What a disappointment this age is.' So let none of you say, 'What a disappointment this age is,' for I am the age. I turn over its night and its day, and when I wish, I take them both."Muslim narrated it from Abd bin Humayd, from Abdul-Razzaq, with his chain of transmission, in like manner.
