The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever lends silver, gives a milk-animal as a loan, or guides someone along a path is like one who has freed a slave. And whoever says, 'There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things capable,' ten times is like one who has freed a slave."
Ahmad (18518) narrated it from Affan, who said, Shuba narrated to us, he said, Talha informed me, he said, I heard Abdul-Rahman bin Awsaja, from Bara bin Azib, and he mentioned it.Imam Ahmad mentioned several hadiths with this chain, each of which he cites in its proper place. Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Talha here is Ibn Musrif, as is evident in the preceding narration (18516), except that in it his son Muhammad bin Talha narrates from his father Talha. They objected to his claim of having heard from his father, since he was young at the time. He is also a disputed narrator, for Nasai declared him daif while others considered him acceptable.
