The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What an excellent gift is a generous milk-giving she-camel, and a generous milk-giving ewe that fills a vessel in the morning and another in the evening."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: نعم المنيحة اللقحة الصفي منحة والشاة الصفي تغدو بإناء وتروح بإناء.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on gifts (2629) from Yahya bin Bukayr, from Malik, from Abu Zinad, from Aaraj, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it as mentioned. Jawhari did not mention this narration in Musnad Muwatta.Muslim narrated it in the chapter on zakat (1019) through another route from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Abu Zinad, with his chain of transmission, and its wording was, "Will no man grant a household a she-camel that comes in the morning with a bowlful and returns in the evening with a bowlful, for its reward is indeed great."
